Fully Remote (USA) | Contract | Long-Term EngagementThe OpportunityWe are working with a US-based client seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance Consultant to lead the next phase of their ERP journey.Following a recent Business Central implementation, the business is looking to move beyond basic functionality and fully utilise the platform across its multi-entity environment.This is a hands-on, consultative role focused on post-go-live optimisation, financial process improvement and ERP best practices, rather than day-to-day support.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct a comprehensive Business Central health check and gap assessment, identifying opportunities for improvement.Work closely with Finance and IT leadership to review existing processes and develop a structured optimisation roadmap.Improve multi-entity financial management, MEM, consolidations and reporting across approximately 30 businesses.Review and optimise core BC functionality, including GL, Dimensions, Purchasing, Project Accounting and financial workflows.Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, including ACH/EFT payments, approvals and reporting.Evaluate existing reporting capabilities, including Cosmos, and recommend improvements.Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.Deliver improvements through a structured, sprint-based project approach.What We're Looking ForExtensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly Finance.Strong Accounting and Finance knowledge, with the ability to advise stakeholders on best practices.Experience with multi-entity environments, MEM and financial consolidations.Proven background in Business Analysis, ERP health checks and post-implementation optimisation.Ability to challenge existing processes and recommend practical improvements rather than simply follow requirements.Strong communication skills, comfortable working directly with senior Finance and IT stakeholders.Exposure to Cosmos Reporting, Project Accounting, ACH/EFT and workflow automation is advantageous.Engagement DetailsLocation: Fully Remote, USAType: Contract, with flexibility around weekly commitmentDuration: Initial engagement anticipated to be approximately 12 months, with potential to extendFocus: Functional Finance, Business Analysis and BC optimisationThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior BC consultant who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex financial challenges and helping businesses get more value from their ERP investment.Interested?Reach out to me directly or send over your resume for a confidential conversation.
